The first portion of the guided hike will consist of two stops inside the caverns of Seven Ladders Rock. At the first two landing, Park Rangers will explain the creation, formation, and geologic events that shaped the iconic Red Rocks. The second leg of the guided hike will consist of two stops at the last of the seven landings within the highest sections of the rock. The Rangers will review the indigenous cultures and peoples who inhabited Red Rocks. This guided tour will cover all seven "ladders" within the rock starting from the bottom, and finishing at the top, covering over 300 million years of history.

Seven ladders restrictions: This tour is physically arduous and participants must be able to climb small sections of rocks faces that exceed 45 degrees and be comfortable hiking/scaling sections of rock in semi confined spaces where moisture (slippery slopes) may be present. Sturdy hiking boots (with solid soles) are required with long pants. The Park will provide gloves and hard hats (required) for all participants.
