About the event
We are thrilled to be a part of the Colorado Council of Professional Archaeology annual conference this year! Community Connections is leading a historical walking tour for the 16th St. Mall in downtown Denver, Colorado. The starting point for the downtown Denver tour will be Writer Square across from the Tabor Center. If you see Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, you're in the right place! The tour end point is at the early bird party for the CCPAs at the Warwick Hotel. We will be discussing the stories of early Denver and Downtown 16th Mall with a hint of modern art.
The walking tour will be roughly 1.5 miles and we will be standing the entire time. Tour will run rain or shine unless there is severe weather. If there is severe weather, refunds will be given. Please dress accordingly. The Mall Ride shuttle or Rideshare is suggested as transportation to the starting point, Writer Square (1512 Larimer Street). Pre-registration is required at $30.00/person.
